Last month we announced that Absolute Software’s Computrace Mobile was nominated for a  Stevie Award for “New Product or Service of the Year – Software as a Service.” Computrace Mobile has now been selected as a Finalist for the awards!

During the month of preliminary judging, Absolute Software joins 11 other companies listed as finalists in this category. Final Stevie winners will be determined in the final judging that began this week. If you took the time to vote for Computrace Mobile, thanks!

The names of Stevie winners will be announced at the 2009 awards dinner and presentations in New York’s Marriott Marquis Hotel on Monday, June 22.

Absolute Software’s Computrace Mobile has been nominated for a Stevie Award!

The Stevie Awards were created to honor and generate public recognition of the achievements and positive contributions of organizations and people worldwide. This is the 7th year of the Awards. Last year Absolute Software’s sales team won the 2008 “Best Sales Team” award, and this year we’re being nominated for “Favorite New Product.”

This new category for the American Business Awards, known as The Stevies, recognizes favorite new products in 12 different business categories. Computrace Mobile is nominated under “Favorite Software as a Service.”

Congratulations to the Absolute Software sales team for winning a Stevie Award!

Absolute Software was recognized for the “Best Sales Team” Award in the 2008 International Business Awards.

The finalists for this award were: Dow Jones, International Paper, Reliance Mutual Fund, Richardson, SalesLabs, Sherwin-Williams and WebEx Communications.

Carter McCrary, Chief Operating Officer at Absolute, had this to say in the press release:

“The go-to-market team has grown our contracted subscriber base by 110% over the last year, doubling the Company’s subscriber base, without losing sight of delivering a world-class customer experience for our clients.”

The International Business Awards, known as the Stevie Awards (for the Greek word “crowned”), are a global business awards program. Entries in the 2008 awards grew by 65% to 1700 entries from organizations and individuals in 30 countries. There are more than 40 categories of awards, with finalists determined by a panel of judges and advisors.
